As we know the COVID-19 Vaccines are on the way, however, it will take quite a while to reach the general public. As seen on the media the predictions are that the first Vaccine doses will be given to the normal population sometime in the next 4 months, which takes us to the month of April. Then it will take a considerable amount of time to vaccinate the whole country. It was mentioned on the news that it will take until end of September 2021 to vaccinate all Canadians and that would be the beginning of Fall season and the start of the cold. So basically it might take almost a year before everybody gets Vaccinated. Another point that needs to be taken into account is that Vaccine producing companies are not yet sure whether or not the Vaccinated people could potentially carry and transmit the virus to other people while staying immune against it and showing no symptoms. Moreover, some of the available Vaccines come in 2 doses and will be scheduled to be given to individuals in 2 different times (rumour is 3 to 4 weeks apart). by the time everybody gets vaccinated we will be entering cold months and the probability of the virus coming back in a different way or with a variant will be high. At least caution is needed. That aside, wearing masks everyday for almost 2 consecutive years will create a habit, it almost becomes like a new seatbelt for individuals...To make the story short, all predictions show that people will continue wearing masks throughout 2021 and eventually it could becomes a new culture for North Americans similar to Asian countries such as Japan where people even in a normal day before the pandemic wore masks for personal health care. These reasonings will support the fact that face masks will be a necessity to our society from now on and will be staying a hot product for at least a few years.
